Free Chlorine Test Kit

 

Chlorine is the most widely used oxidizing biocide today for disinfection of domestic water supplies as also for the removal of tastes and odours from water. The amount of chlorine required to be added in a water system is determined by chlorine demand, contact time, ph and temperature of the water. Chlorine residual in drinking water indicates that disinfection has been achieved by chlorine and bacteria / viruses that cause diarrheal disease have been eliminated. Also the water is protected from recontamination during storage. Our AQUASOL chlorine test is available as three different types, DPD method, Iodometric method and OT method. The kit gives very reliable results. The end point is very sharp and easily discernable by the user. Even a shop floor worker will be able to get desired results with our test kit.

SDI Kit

 

Suspended solids and colloidal materials in feed water are one of the biggest problems in reverse osmosis systems.

Even though most systems have some pre-treatment including 5 microns pre-filters, these fine particles are responsible for fouling of reverse osmosis membranes.

In order to have some measure of the degree of this fouling problems, a concept called silt density index is used.

Here a 0.45 microns filter is exposed to the feed water under pressure and filtration rates are calculated

pH is the measure of the hydrogen ion concentration in a liquid. pH measures the acidity or alkalinity of a liquid. The pH scale is logarithmic and runs from 0.0 to 14.0 with 7.0 being neutral. Flow Meter

 

Flow meteris an instrument used to measure the volumetric flow rate of a liquid or a gas. The instrument works on faradays law of electromagnetic Induction. The magnetic field is generated around the measuring tube by instrument. The fluid passing through the measuring tube generates a voltage. This voltage is directly proportional to the velocity of the flow. Thus the flow is measured and displayed on the indicator.

Operating Principle
